Factorio Engineer ยท Gumping Enthusiast ยท 4090 Whisperer
๐จ๐ฆ Illusive Canadian ยท Eh?"Life is like a Factorio factory โ you just gotta keep belts goin', eh? And that's all I gotta say about that." โ Brombee, gumping flawlessly
"Live is like a box of chocolats" โ Brombee, also gumping
Brombee is an illusive Canadian โ you hear about him more than you actually see him. He's out there somewhere, building the most ridiculously over-engineered Factorio factory you've ever seen, running AI inference on a 4090 stuffed in a server rack, and occasionally surfacing to drop the most uncanny Forrest Gump impression you'll ever witness.
One time he "gumped" for twenty minutes straight and nobody could tell the difference. Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates โ Brombee just took that personally.
Will spend 16 hours optimizing a green circuit build. The factory must grow. It always grows.
Super-accurate Forrest Gump impression. Run, Brombee, run! He's been runnin' since he was a child.
Has a 4090 in a server. For AI. Because why not run local LLMs at ludicrous speed, eh?
Proud parent of one. Teaching the next generation about belts, splitters, and the proper way to say "eh."
Brombee doesn't just play Factorio โ he lives it. His saves are legendary. Megabases that would make Wube proud. Belt balancers so beautiful they could hang in a gallery. He's been known to say "just one more hour" and emerge three days later with a 10K SPM base and no memory of the outside world.
Brombee's Forrest Gump impression is so dead-on it's almost unsettling. The accent, the cadence, the way he says "Mama always said" โ it's all there. Friends have reportedly sat through 45-minute monologues about shrimp, feather symbolism, and running across the country before realizing he wasn't quoting the movie โ he was just being Gump.
You can't have a conversation with Brombee without hearing at least three of these:
Tucked away in a cold corner of his basement โ or maybe a data center, nobody really knows where Brombee actually lives โ sits a server with an RTX 4090 running AI models 24/7. Local LLMs, Stable Diffusion, you name it. When asked why he needs that much GPU in a server, he just shrugs, says "eh, ya never know," and walks away gumping.
